How Much Does Custom Furniture Cost?

Handcrafted Amish Furniture represents a fairly affordable segment of the premium furniture market. Many people hear the words "custom furniture" and they cringe in fear of a runaway cost. The reality is, most of the furniture found on DutchCrafters is already handmade after you order it, making it more affordable than many people assume. The woodshops still have to draft new plans and charge for the extra material, labor, time, and resources used to create your heirloom-quality, customized masterpiece.

Overview

This farmhouse table is Amish handcrafted from beautiful barn wood.  Our barn wood is locally sourced in Pennsylvania where the Amish woodworker lives. The barn wood is generally yellow pine but sometimes it can be hemlock or fir.  Longleaf heart pine wood is a popular pine used in the construction of old barns and warehouses in the United States.  We do not offer the option of selecting the type of barn wood used in the construction.

Our customers love imagining the history of the barn that was used in the construction of their new dining tables.  Please be aware that barn wood has the appearance of distressed new wood.  You have to be comfortable with the aged look of the old wood, cracks, nail holes that can be filled or unfilled as well as other natural features like water marks.  All of these features some would think of as defects but others think of tale tell marks of years gone past, harvests, storms and families working together on a farm.

Our barn wood dining tables are a popular choice for restaurants and resorts that want a unique, one of a kind look.  Please call for pricing on volume barn wood dining tables.  We offer trade discounts and have contract sales associates that are happy to help you with your LEED credits as well.

You don't have to live on a farm to order a farmhouse dining table.  This dining table style is a popular choice for city folks too.

Reviews

This was a very positive experience for me. Certainly buying a large piece of furniture, sight unseen, online, can be daunting. DutchCrafters put me at ease with their customer care. I was kept informed of my order’s status with regular emails. My order arrived right on time and I cannot express how much I love my table. The workmanship and quality are beyond my expectations and everyone who sees it are so impressed. Thanks so much!
After conducting extensive research, we made the decision to take the drive and visit the Sarasota location. That's where we met Heather, a consummate professional. Knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. Our overall outstanding experience made it easy to feel confident about our purchase/investment. Sincere thanks and appreciation to Heather and the DutchCrafters team.
I love my table, it’s beautiful.
