How Much Does Custom Furniture Cost?

Handcrafted Amish Furniture represents a fairly affordable segment of the premium furniture market. Many people hear the words "custom furniture" and they cringe in fear of a runaway cost. The reality is, most of the furniture found on DutchCrafters is already handmade after you order it, making it more affordable than many people assume. The woodshops still have to draft new plans and charge for the extra material, labor, time, and resources used to create your heirloom-quality, customized masterpiece.

Overview

Note cabinet only the countertop, sink and faucets are not included.

So you know you want a Mission style bathroom vanity cabinet, made by Amish woodworkers to last a lifetime. But which one is right for you? This one product gives you access to all the most popular Mission style vanity designs!

How to Customize Your Mission Style Bathroom Vanity

Here's how to customize this product for your home:

  1. Pick your style. The popular Henderson, McCoy, and Portland styles give you three excellent options. All are shown in classic Mission style with Quarter Sawn White Oak wood, mullions on the glass door panels, and an arched bottom edge. They feature flat panels and beautiful solid wood.
    1. The Henderson features vertical corner posts, flayed accents in the top corners, and straight lines.
    2. The McCoy style features angled legs and diamond shaped hardware standard.
    3. Portland style, our final option, features legs that are flayed at the foot, along with a decorative inlay across the bottom.
  2. Next, select your size. Each is available in 33" wide, 49" wide, 60" wide, or 72" wide except the Portland that has no 33" option available. The 72" vanity features a 2-bowl design, while the others offer just 1 sink bowl. The width refers to the granite/solid surface top width. The actual cabinet width will be 1-3" smaller. Each vanity is 22" deep and 36" high.
  3. Wood type and finish. Quarter Sawn White Oak wood or Oak wood are the most traditional Mission style wood types, but beautiful designs can be created with other woods as well. We recommend you ask for stain samples so you can select the perfect finish for your home.
  4. Door style allows you to choose between clear glass, frosted glass, or wood panels on your doors. Totally up to personal preference!
  5. Hardware options include classic Mission designs like hanging door and drawer pulls and the McCoy diamond shaped hardware, but your hardware selection offers an opportunity to truly make your vanity your own with a variety of styles available!

Whatever you choose, we hope you have some fun with the freedom that this fully custom bathroom vanity product offers. Make it your own, but let us know if we can help. Chat with us online or give us a call or better yet stop by one of our Amish furniture stores.
