Not only does it make for a beautiful new addition to your living or family room, this recliner is built to order and features tons of customization options. It is no coincidence that this is our #1 selling recliner. DutchCrafters founders Jim and Linse Miller chose this recliner for their Florida lake house.

The Magnolia's seating is fabricated with (High Resilient 2.6 Density) polyurethane foam, which is considered the highest quality foam that is available to the upholstered furniture industry. The high cushioned back and seat will keep you comfortable as you enjoy a good book, your favorite television show, or company. With a handcrafted solid wooden frame, and comfortable & quality genuine leather upholstery, you fold right into the space and become enveloped in the Magnolia's comfort.

Is this a good option for back pain?

Yes! The key to a recliner that assists in relieving back and neck pain is lumbar support, and ensuring your feet are elevated above heart level. Gravity is vital in this, as it allows blood to travel to your tendons and muscles, alleviating stress and inflammation. The design of the Magnolia leaves an extremely minimal gap between the chair and your lower back, making the lumbar support very effective.

Should I buy the motorized mechanism?

The answer to this common question lies with you. We suggest every customer consider this addition. Keep in mind this recliner is solid wood, therefore, it will require a bit of breaking in. Some customers struggle with forcing the recliner closed with their legs, especially in the beginning, and could benefit from the upgrade. Even if you do not struggle, it is a nice and convenient feature to have available. Over time it will become easier to open and close, and will reach a stopping point where it will stay for generations to come, making it the perfect heirloom purchase.

We also offer a battery pack with the motorized mechanism. If you would like to move it around the room, would prefer to not have a cord, the power goes out in a storm, we've got you covered.

The young woman who helped explain the process of receiving stain and fabric samples was terrific - cordial and professional. Delivery was right on time! For some time I had been interested in a particular style of chair for reading in my bedroom. As I did find it in one store it was way too expensive to consider. Sunday of Labor Day Weekend I started thinking about the chair and did some searching on the Internet. I don’t know what exactly I entered but the Dutchcrafters website popped up with a picture of the type of chair I was interested in. I made note of the site planning to get back to it in the future. Well, the future was the next day, Labor Day. I checked out the various options of wood and leather, composed an e-mail with some questions. Also I noted there was a Labor Day Special of a couple of hundred off and the option to make a partial payment when ordering. I sent the e-mail expecting to hear back in a couple of days. I heard back in a few minutes which was a surprise. A few more e-mails went back and forth, I thought about it over night, and ordered the next day requesting some samples of leather and wood which arrived by the end of week. The difficult part was deciding which combination to select as several would have been great for the room I had in mind for the chair. I chose Red Oak OCS110 for the Wood and London Tan for the Leather. The chair being custom made took a while. It arrived in January. The truck driver was in contact with me a couple weeks before and arranged his cross country delivery to fit my availability. Knowing the chair was heavy I had some help lined up but when the driver arrived he and I had no trouble getting it off the truck. He waited as I unwrapped it and check it over not leaving until I was completely satisfied.

The whole experience went very well. The selection of wood and leather was quite extensive. The quick and informative response to questions was very satisfying. But most important the chair is comfortable and looks very nice with quality construction. It was a great choice of chair and manufacturer. I highly recommend Dutchcrafters.
