This Amish handcrafted hope chest is proudly made in the USA of 100% solid cedar wood. Our cedar wood hope chests offer you the best in cedar wood storage. Using solid aromatic cedar with a clear finish gives you the beautiful color variations. These chests come standard with folding lid support, locks and casters except on the petite size. This beautiful Heirloom Chest is handcrafted using solid wood. Hope Chest is the perfect place to store your heirloom quilts and keepsakes! Proudly made of solid wood in the USA! Everyone use to have Cedar chests in their home.

If you select to have a Brass Plaque, expect a call within 24 hours to receive your engraving message. This plaque will be mounted on the inside of the lid unless otherwise specified.

Warranty

Your new hope chest comes backed by a 10 year limited warranty to the original purchaser. Should any product fail due to defects in material or workmanship under normal use within this period, the defective piece will be repaired or replaced, at our discretion.

This warranty does not cover products which are misused, abused, mishandled, improperly installed, improperly stored, changed, modified, or are subject to extreme temperatures or extreme moisture levels. This warranty is not valid for products used for any purpose other than the purpose for which they are originally intended.

This warranty does not cover the cost of installation, removal, or subsequent damage, or transportation of the defective product regardless of whether work was performed by a contractor, service company, or yourself. Variations in color and grain patterns are a natural characteristic of wood. Color changes may occur as a result of aging, exposure to light heat, and other natural and chemical elements. Color variations and changes are not covered by this warranty.

I ordered the hope chest for my wife on the occasion of our 29th anniversary. It was a special gift for a special lady at her request. The purchase process was easy to navigate and understand and I was confidant I had purchased the hope chest she had “hoped” for. Your company kept me informed as the chest was being built.

In December, the chest was shipped. Again, your instructions for how to accept delivery were clear and informative. When I picked it up, it was obvious that you had taken great care in packaging and shipping the chest.

We opened it and were thrilled with it! It was everything she wanted and we spent hours admiring it during the Christmas holiday. Within a day or so, we noticed a surface mar in the finish of the lid.
We contacted your company and explained the problem. Customer service requested photos of the stain, which we texted. Customer service contacted the builder, explained the problem and passed on to us that he thought it was an imprint from packaging and shipping. His recommendation was the application of a special polish, which was sent.

We tried the polish several times with no effect. We recontacted customer service and texted some more current photos. We were informed us that the builder was going to immediately start on building a new lid
and she would keep us informed on the progress. We felt very confident and reassured that our problem lid was going to be fixed.

Sure enough, the lid was sent. Brittany kept us informed during the whole process. Again, the shipping and packaging were reflective of how you feel about your product…and our chest. I was frankly concerned about my craftsman ability to replace such a fine piece of woodworking. No problem, your company sent out a technician who professionally replaced the lid. The chest was complete…and exactly what the lady wanted. We are thrilled with this generational piece of art.

This turned into a long narrative, but I think it is important to tell the story. Your company not only produces a wonderful product, but stands behind it in every way. Your sense of pride and professionalism is apparent in every detail of purchase, creation, shipping and customer service. You should be justifiably proud of being a part of such a company.
